Volkswagen Philippines launched their newest top-of-the-line vehicles at the 2015 Manila International Auto Show held April 9-12 at the World Trade Center in Pasay. Among those showcased were the Golf GTI, Polo Hatchback, Touareg Sport Edition, automatic transmission Polo Sedan, and customized Beetle, Touran, and Tiguan.

The VW Golf GTI dominated the scene, showcasing Volkswagen’s technological leadership and competitiveness in the sports car category with its performance and sustainability. Volkswagen Philippines’ flagship vehicle, the VW Touareg Sport Edition, offers families luxurious ride and off-road capabilities, while the comfort and pleasure of the Polo Hatchback caters to young professionals.

Accessorized cars such as the VW Tiguan—a smaller, more compact version of the Touareg—and the spacious seven-seater Touran were unveiled at the auto show, along with the iconic, albeit customized, Volkswagen Beetle, and the practical, day-in and day-out car 6-speed automatic Polo Sedan.

Volkswagen Philippines CEO John Orbeta also launched the VW Child Safety Initiative (CSI), which aims to raise awareness on the importance of child safety on Philippine roads. “We take care of what we love the most—our children—and, we at Volkswagen, believe that they should be protected to the utmost (while traveling in the family car),” Orbeta said.
