Team Suzuki Pilipinas got its first podium finish at the 3rd leg of the Suzuki Asian Challenge of the Asia Road Racing Championships 2015 held at the Suzuki International Circuit in Japan.

In a monumental event for the team, Davao’s pride #46 April King Mascardo finished the race in 3rd place, marking Team Suzuki Pilipinas’ first podium finish. Other members of the team also did well on this leg despite the challenge posed by the difficult layout and wet tracks of the Suzuka International Circuit. Mario Borbon of Cebu finished 5th, while Bicol’s Enzo Rellosa closed the race in 6th place.

#43 Andreas Gunawan of Indonesia and local favorite #83 Takeru Murase took home the 1st and 2nd place of Round 3 of the Suzuki Asian Challenge, respectively.

The Suzuki Asian Challenge is Suzuki’s rider development program produced and operated by professional motorcycle road racer Yukio Kagayama for Asian riders.

Team Suzuki Pilipinas was sporting MotoWorld’s latest LS2 helmet designed, the Arrow R Comet, during the race. The team will once again conquer the race track at the 4th leg of the Suzuki Asian Challenge in Thailand.
