This isn’t a Throwback. Mario leaped out of your old Family Computers and into the present. Visit to play one of the most iconic games on your browser. It’s really cool, and actually writing about it is taking up so much playing time, so I’m gonna do it quick.

Developer Josh Goldberg recreated the game using HTML5. You can run through the original game, mix things up with new levels and random maps, or create your own level using the level editor.

Josh is a cool and laid-back guy, so Full Screen Mario is opensource and free to play (all day). He has links to the code and is very welcome to receive emails.

That’s it. If you’ll excuse me, I have a ton of mushrooms to jump over—err, I mean things to do.
