Truck and bus manufacturer Scania wants to improve the way we travel by bus with the launch of the Scania Marcopolo.

The Scania Marcopolo is fitted with luxurious leather seats and extensive noise insulation, which ensures first class passenger comfort at all stages of the journey. Adding to the excellent design of the coach is Scania’s fully engineered chassis that customers recognize and trust. Scania’s chassis is not only renowned for its outstanding operating economy, it also benefits from Scania’s legendary comfort, safety, and reliability credentials.

Standard features include full air-suspension for comfort, Electronic Braking System (EBS) to enhance stability in different conditions and eliminate stress associated with emergency stops, Traction Control (TC) to improve traffic safety and mobility in slippery roads, and Bodywork information in Instrument Cluster (ICL).

“Scania buses and coaches are inspired by the people who travel in them and those who drive them. We’re dedicated to creating vehicles that provide the best results possible, whether that’s happy passengers on the daily commute or profitable solutions for fleet managers,” said Marie Sjodin Enstrom, Managing Director of Scania Southeast Asia.

“We know that today’s operators face tough challenges in providing quality service levels whilst maintaining low running costs. The new Scania Marcopolo is the answer, offering a total transportation solution for today’s discerning customers,” Enstrom added.

The launch of the Scania Marcopolo further strengthens Scania’s presence in the Philippine market. Since the opening of its showroom last year, Scania is on track to surpass its target of selling 125 trucks in 2016 in celebration of its 125th founding anniversary.

“We hope that our line of buses will be as well-received by the local market. We invite everyone to come visit our showroom and check out the Scania Marcopolo as everything about it is designed to make ordering, owning and running it as easy as possible, with minimum lead-time and maximum uptime,” said Leilani Lim-Tan, Vice President of BJ Mercantile, Inc., the local sales and services dealer of Scania.

The Scania showroom is located at 1132 EDSA Balintawak, Quezon City. For more information on Scania, you may contact 361-0088, email scania@bjmerc.com, or visit scania.ph or their Facebook page facebook.com/scaniaphilippines.
