The Resorts World Manila Masters returns for its second year at the Manila Southwoods Golf & Country Club from November 20 – 23. The event, presented by 918.COM, one of Asia’s leading online casino companies with First Cagayan Leisure and Resort Corporation (FCLRC) license from the Philippines, will be the first time in its series to award $1 million in prize fund for the champion of the said golf competition.

Last year’s event saw Chinese star Liang Wen-chong defeat Thailand’s Prom Meesawat for the $750,000 prize fund, half of which he donated for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan. The success of last year’s tournament motivated its organizers to raise the prize.

“Last year’s inaugural Resorts World Manila Masters proved to be a victory not just for champion Liang Wen-chong, but also for Philippine golf. By providing a stage in Southwoods Golf & Country Club, top caliber golfers from the Philippines and around the world were able to compete in the country’s biggest golf tournament to date,” says Stephen James Reilly, COO of Resorts World Manila.

“This year, together with Asian Tour and our new presenting sponsor, we look forward to making the Resorts World Manila Masters even bigger and better with an increased prize fund of $1 million.”
