Do you telecommute for work? Good news! Microsoft and Polycom bring to Skype for Business the industry’s first cloud-based video interoperability service, aside from new video collaboration and video room solutions.

Leading the effort to re-humanize how communication is done within enterprises, Microsoft Philippines provides unified communications through Skype for Business.

“Today, enterprise organizations in the Philippines are in for a digital disruption,” said Christian Lim, Office Marketing Business Group lead for Microsoft Philippines. “As the workforce and the consumer market become more digital, there is a demand for a flexible, rich communications platform and a reinvented productivity solution that will usher in the modern workplace.”

Based on the data gathered in its “New World of Work” survey, Microsoft believes that as enterprises adapt to the changing business landscape, they must simultaneously adopt new ways to communicate with their workforce using available and inexpensive technologies.

“The evolution of technology has greatly impacted the work place and we (in Microsoft) want to help businesses with products that empower them to do more in a mobile first, cloud first world,” Lim added.

Embracing the new working culture of present-day employees, Microsoft continues to introduce the solutions devised for Skype for Business. Microsoft partnered with Polycom to deliver the industry-first cloud-based video interoperability service. In addition to that, Polycom will also develop new video collaboration and video room solutions for Skype for Business.

You can now also integrate your Microsoft Outlook accounts into Skype for Business app via the Outlook Integration and Cloud Private Branch Exchange (PBX), allowing you to easily invite workmates into meetings and Skype calls. Microsft also made this feature available through the free Skype web app. The Cloud PBX also provides access to IM, video conferencing, and telephony features via Cloud PBX.
