Lenovo recently launched a lineup of Think devices aimed at small and medium businesses (SMBs). But all of us are allowed to ogle and tinker.

The ThinkPad Tablet 2 has a lot of features that will leave you thinking: Aah, yes. Thin and light, 10.1-inch screen, about 10 hours of productivity, Windows 8, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, HDMI port, wireless video streaming, yada yada. Yup, regular stuff.

Then it hands you a digitizer pen. You can use the pen for note-taking, signing documents, completing forms, and doodling in class–yuppie style. Not so regular, now, right?

The ThinkPad Helix also comes with the digitizer pen, and it’s from the generation of notebooks with a serious identity crisis. It is first and foremost an ultrabook that converts into the thinnest and one of the lightest full-function 3rd-gen Intel Core 11.6-inch tablets.

But it doesn’t stop there. The Helix is so confused, it  “outed” with not just two but four form modes:

The Laptop Mode: For standard computing and content creation

The Stand Mode: The screen flips for easy content sharing.

The Tablet Mode: The screen detaches for greater portability, battery life of up to 6 hours

The Tablet+ Mode: The screen folds behind the base, battery life of up to 10 hours

The ThinkPad Helix (P78,990) will be available by the end of June, and the ThinkPad Tablet 2 (P37,990) will follow early next month. You can get them at Think Exclusive Stores and Lenovo’s corporate channel partners.
