Should you buy a painting or an OLED TV? If this dilemma causes you sleepless nights with wine glass in hand, rest your mind. You can have both with LG’s Gallery OLED TV.

The 55EA8800 model is the world’s first Gallery OLED TV, a slim TV that is somewhat framed and mounted on canvas. And to emphasize just how much detail, depth, and richness you can get from the Gallery OLED TV, LG has partnered with National Artist BenCab. Now, the TV won’t ruin your living room decor.

More than looking like a piece of art, the Gallery OLED TV has killer tech inside:

[unordered_list style=”green-dot”]
  • Absolute Motion Clarity gives a blur-free rendition of fast-moving objects with a response speed 1,000 times faster than a run-of-the-mill LED TV–a joy to avid fans of Formula 1 or hummingbirds’ wings.
  • Perfect Viewing Angle technology lets you watch from any angle with zero distortions.
  • 4-Color Pixel Technology adds white sub-pixel along with the usual RGB. The additional sub-pixel increases color accuracy and makes the images more vivid.
  • Infinite Contrast is individuality of some sort. It gives each pixel control over its own brightness, creating depth, tone, and contrast ratio that only diversity can provide.
  • The LG Canvas Speaker lies within the canvas matting of the frame, if you are so inclined. The sound system actually consists of two sets of speakers and two woofers, all hidden under the canvas.
  • This being a “gallery” TV, it has a Gallery Mode app that displays pieces from Vincent Van Gogh, Paul Gaugin, Pierre-August Renoir, and BenCab.

The LG Gallery OLED TV will be available this month. Check for more details. Do invite us in the manor sometime.

February 5, 2014 Update: The LG Gallery OLED TV is now displayed at Anson’s Makati. For the rest of February, you will also start seeing the Gallery OLED TV at Abenson Trinoma and Alabang, Savers Balibago, Olongapo, and Las Piñas, and Anson’s Cash & Carry.
