Kymco Philippines officially introduced OPM band Hale as its newest brand ambassador in a press conference held at the Blue Leaf Events Pavilion in Bonifacio Global City on April 14.

Kymco Philippines General Manager Allan Santiago said they hope to communicate better with their target market, particularly the Generation Y and Z, through this partnership.

“Entertainment through band [music] is one of the most important aspect or ingredient to be able to communicate directly to our target customer,” Santiago said. “We highly believe that Hale, being our brand ambassador, will surely touch base this generation.”

Hale vocalist Champ Lui Pio, meanwhile, assured that beyond moving audiences through their music, they also intend to promote road safety to all motorcycle riders.

“While performing, while they’re listening to us, we can actually communicate how to be responsible a biker. I think that’s how we can promote the brand and empower people,” Pio said.

The band also revealed that they are currently working on a song together with Kymco.

Bikers and music fans alike can expect Kymco and Hale to visit various places in the country in the coming months. They will be conducting a series of performances, bike displays, test rides, and more.

Scooters on the roll

Kymco Philippines also unveiled its newest scooters to its valued dealers during the event.

Joining Kymco’s arsenal of road-ready bikes are the Agility 125, Kargador 150, and the Super Z.

Adrenaline junkies can fuel their drive with the Agility 125k, which dons a naked-designed front panel, a ring-type position lamp, as well as a projection lamp and nine PC LED for low and high beams, respectively. Powering this 125cc ride is a 4-stroke 1-cylinder CVT engine.

The Kargador 150, meanwhile, is a rugged ride that is built for the Philippines’ toughest roads as it carries a V-shaped 4-stroke 1-cylinder engine with 2 valves. Under the hood lies a dedicated oil line for continuous oil circulation on the engine block and connecting rod. An Engine Balancer stabilizes your bike, reducing vibration as you ride free on the road.

Lastly, the Super Z is the product of Kymco’s extensive research to retrofit bikes for the Asian market. Its body is designed to appeal to the youth, sporting free flowing lines across all sides and angles. Bold LED lights scream up front, while a matching USB charger makes sure you don’t run out of vigor and juice for your daily grind. It comes with a 4-stroke, 1-cylinder engine mated with a CVT transmission and carburetor fuel feeder.
