IdeaSpace Foundation, an early stage technology incubator and accelerator in the Philippines, has partnered with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) through its Export Marketing Bureau (EMB) to launch the QBO Innovation Hub.

Located at the DTI International Bldg., Sen. Gil J. Puyat Ave., Makati City, the QBO Innovation Hub is designed as a place where entrepreneurs and startup companies can create a collective work space where they can share their ideas with each other and accelerate their process.

The hub aims to link innovators, investors, academic institutions, startup mentors, funders, and enablers to one another. Partners and stakeholders from public or private sectors can also visit the new innovation hub to interact with the startup community.

According to DTI-EMB Director Senen Perlada the choice to collaborate with IdeaSpace for this project was the department’s way of boosting the atmosphere of collaboration between different parties. “We hope to open more opportunities for market access and capital, and mentorship for our startups, especially the growing number of young entrepreneurs,” Perlada added.

QBO Innovation Hub is under the Negosyo Center Plus operating model, although its primary focus is on the more mature and polished startups.

The hub takes its inspirations from districts all over the world geared towards innovative solutions, like Silicon Valley in the United States, Block 71 in Singapore, and Tel Aviv in Israel, among others.
