Smartphone technology has reached greater heights, leaps, and bounds, offering us a gadget Swiss knife. Don’t take your smartphone hiking, though, or it will be making literal leaps and bounds leaving you in a puddle of tears.

Enter Nokia 105, a phone stripped off the “smartness.” It has a quality handset design, one-piece keymat (Yes, pressing 3 times to get a letter in. Oh, memories!), color screen, and a long lasting battery. The back-to-basics design makes it an ideal backup, hiking, or emergency phone.

The basic features are also present: FM radio transmitter, five pre-loaded games, alarm clock, speaking clock, and flashlight. And take this: it has a talk time of 12.5 hours and a standby time of 35 days. That’s right; when marooned and out of food with only your phone for a friend, you’ll be the first to die. How cool is that!

But seriously, the Nokia 105 is available at Nokia stores nationwide for P999.
