Globe Telecom invites students to join its #StartNow Youth Summit on January 30, 2016 at UP Diliman. This summit aims to educate and empower the young people on how digital innovations can be used to create positive change.

The continuing rise in smartphone penetration in the Philippines allowed more individuals to get a hold of their own device and eventually adapt a digital lifestyle. With tasks such as booking movies and restaurant seats, as well as hailing cabs, now having its corresponding apps, the mobile experience has immensely improved.

Knowing how to embrace and maximize this digital lifestyle the right way is what Globe advocates through its #StartNow Youth Summit. The Youth Summit aims to immerse students in the latest digital trends, innovations, and applications, and further open their creative minds to innovate for their future. It also focuses to inspire students and equip them with the tools to contribute to the greater good.

Open and free for all students, participants will be able to join various activities related to digital trends. The registration of participants starts at 8:00 a.m.

“Globe #StartNow Youth Summit allows us to go beyond products and services and give the youth a different perspective on how they can maximize the power of their digital life,” shared Globe Senior Vice President for Consumer Mobile Marketing Issa Cabreira.

“Today’s youth and their adaptation of the digital lifestyle have empowered them more than any other generation in the past. And learning sessions such as this aims to help them realize that and use that power to create positive change,” Cabreira added.

The forums carry the themes Level Up, Transform, and Digital Persuasive.
