Ranging from business to leisure to home entertainment, here are some of the best that Globe has to offer in their vision of a #WonderfulPH.

Globe Investments

One of the exciting announcements from Globe is its plan to further the modernization and production of the company’s infrastructure in order to increase the internet speed in the country. This year, Globe’s $750 million capex will be allotted for the deployment of fiber cables in 20,000 barangays across the country. Globe also plans to increase its capacity of its network in both mobile and wirelines, as well as replace old copper wire connections they have had in the past.

Digital Thumbprint Program

Globe capped the night with a successful pilot launch of their Australian partners Optus and Singtel’s brainchild: the Digital Thumbprint Program (DTP).

The DTP is Globe’s venture to educate students about their rights and privileges in the online community. It also helps in increasing their knowledge by talking about their digital citizenship, cyber safety, critical assessments of their online behavior, and ultimately helping them in developing insights for a better online experience.

Globe’s Director for Corporate Social Responsibility Fernando Esguerra talks about “empowing a generation of students with digital savvy and leadership skills.” He added that Globe continues to create ways for them to understand their impact on the online society as individuals, as well as widening their view on technology for them to make a #WonderfulPH.
