Small- and medium-scale businesses (SMBs) can now continue moving their business transactions online as Globe Telecom recently renewed its partnership with cloud-based software service Canvas.

Canvas is a digital service that enables businesses to create customized mobile forms for clients, replacing the need for excessive papers during transaction.

Beyond going paperless, the service also fosters work efficiency by minimizing the need for clients and service providers to physically move around to transact. It also allows efficient monitoring of various business databases.

Globe Telecom announced its renewed partnership with Canvas last February 10 in an exclusive media round table held at the Makati-Shangri-La Hotel.

Market shift

Canvas Chief Executive Officer and co-founder James Quigley urged SMBs to avail of the service, saying that it comes crucial especially with the modern market now shifting towards a more digital lifestyle.

“You are now engaging a population that is very different socially. They connect online,” Quigley said. “If you’re going to sell more, you’re going to do more. And you’re going to work with a generation of people that think very differently, and you need to speak in their language.”

Quigley added that the service is perfect for a generation of millennials who find it a “hassle” to fill out paper forms, for instance, in accessing medical, security, or business records. Canvas, on the other hand, can assimilate these files digitally into a cloud server.

Canvas App

Aside from over 13,000 customizable pre-built mobile forms, the Canvas app features such as GPS, image capture, dispatch, bar code scanning, electronic signatures, push notifications, and access to various business data including parts catalog, price lists, and patient records, among others.

Not compromising file security, Canvas assures that information is stored in several encrypted servers in various locations in the United States.

The local price of the service is P500 per month with a 12-month lock-in period. Thirty-day trials are also offered and can be requested by sending an email to The Canvas app runs on Android, iOS, and Windows.

Locally, a number of industries have already availed of the service including logistics, pharmaceuticals, and marketing companies. In a global scale, 31 industries including construction, healthcare, retail, utilities, and telco companies, among others availed of the service.
