Facebook just became the best place to enjoy your 360-degree photos.

You and your friends can now have an immersive photo-viewing experience on the Facebook, as the social network giant rolled out today support for 360 photos in its users’ News Feeds.

All you need to do is take a panorama or a 360-degree photo with your smartphone, a third-party app, or a 360 camera, and then post it like you would any other image. Facebook, on their end, will convert it into a 360 photo. It will appear on your friends’ and followers’ News Feed with a compass icon on the right-hand side of the photo to let them know they can play with it.

You can explore these 360 photos on your smartphone by tapping and dragging the photo or by moving your phone. When viewed on desktop, click and drag the image to move around.

Beyond your News Feed, you can also enjoy these Facebook 360 photos in your Samsung Gear VR. Using a supported Samsung device, click View in VR in the top left corner of the video and place the phone in the Gear VR.

These 360 photos are already available to view today on Facebook via the Web and the latest version of the Facebook app on iOS and Android. Facebook already released 360 photos of Paul McCartney’s performance in Argentina, behind-the-scenes of the Supreme Court via The New York Times, and the International Space Station with NASA, among others. Very soon, you can share your own 360 photos on Facebook.
