The Aussie bag company formally lands in the Philippines as it opens its flagship store in the country located in the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza Mall in Mandaluyong City. The Shangri-La store is pimped by no less than award winning Australian architects Ryan Russel and Byron George. The store hosts Crumpler’s Outpost Project bags and new bag models, Ludicrous Debacle and Proud Stash.

Ludicrous Debacle is a shoulder bag with an iPad-sized pocket and edgeless straps that won leave the my-shoulderbag-was-here marks on clothes. For backpackers, Proud Stash has a tough water resistant exterior, with well-padded harnesses that distribute the weight. Both are rough and tough with double-layer, water-resistant Field Twill. They also come in an assortment of happy colors (black, lime, tank green, coral, brick, petrol blue, and sky blue).

Did you know that?

Crumpler bags started out as a “beer drinking problem.” Crumpler was started in 1992 by an avid beer drinker named Stu Crumpler. He created his first Crumpler bag for the sole purpose of being a beer container because transporting beer from his bike was becoming a chore. The durable beer bag was later commissioned to be a backpack for bike messengers.
