CloudFone unveils new Intel-based tablets

Last May 7, CloudFone announced its latest line of tablets equipped with Intel technology.

Leading the pack is the CloudPad One 7.0, the country’s first Intel-based Android Lollipop tablet. The 7-inch device is powered by the latest Android OS and is boosted by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, 8GB memory, and 1GB RAM.

Also unveiled were the first Intel-based dual-OS tablets, the CloudPad Epic 7.1 and the CloudPad Epic 8.9, both carrying the unique Crossover Technology allowing users to run both Android 4.4 KitKat and Windows 8.1.

The Epic 7.1 has a 7-inch HD display, 32GB built-in memory, and 1GB RAM, while the Epic 8.9 is equipped with an 8.9-inch Full HD screen, 32GB built-in memory, and 2GB RAM. Both tablets sport a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, 5MP rear camera, and 2MP front camera.

Not to be outdone is the CloudPad 8.0, which runs on Windows 8.1 and is bolstered by a 1.8GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor, 16GB of memory, and 1GB of RAM, housed in an 8-inch frame. The CloudFone 8.0 is available in three colors: yellow, red, and blue.

According to CloudFone President and CEO Eric Yu, this set of releases is in line with the company’s vision to make the product more accessible to Filipinos. “CloudFone is driven to empower Filipinos by continuously innovating to fulfill the promise of tablets for all, and bringing the latest technology within people’s reach,” he said.

Yu added that affordability does not compromise the product’s performance. “Our collaboration with industry leaders guarantees that our products are developed with the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.”

The CloudPad One 7.0 retails for P6,999, while the CloudPad Epic 7.1 and Cloudpad Epic 8.9 are available for P4,999 and P8,999, respectively. The CloudPad Epic 8.0, meanwhile, will be sold for P7,999.
