Canon celebrates creativity, holds 9th PhotoMarathon

A whopping 2,000 participants filled the streets of Bonifacio Global City last November 8 for the National Leg of the 2014 Canon PhotoMarathon, the country’s biggest on-the-spot photo contest

Christian Sangoyo was named the grand winner for the Point-and-Shoot category. He brought home a Canon EOS 700D, dual arm Fotocrane, camera strap, 32GB Wi-Fi SD card, and one international round trip from Cebu Pacific.

In the Digital Camera with Interchangeable Lens category, Jerome Duenas took the winning shot and was awarded Canon’s latest EOS 7D Mark II. His other prizes include a dual arm Fotocrane, Black Rapid camera strap, 1TB Wi-Fi hard drive 3.0, Harley Davidson jacket, Columbia jacket, 24-hour adventure drive using a Jaguar, and one international round trip ticket from Cebu Pacific.

Judging the photographs of the participants were Canon’s Crusaders of Light.

Prior to the competition’s National Leg, the University Leg was held at the De La Salle University and was exclusive for students.
