Months after debuting in New York, TAG Heuer’s first smartwatch finally lands in the Philippines. A pop-up store at Greenbelt 5 in Makati runs until August 14.

The TAG Heuer Connected is the first smartwatch developed by a Swiss luxury watchmaker. Making the timepiece tick is a 1.6GHz Intel Atom dual-core processor and Android Wear. It comes with 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage, and Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n for connectivity. There’s gyroscope, tilt detection sensor, microphone, and a haptic engine onboard.

The 46mm case case, back, and lugs are made from grade 2 titanium. “TAG Heuer Connected” is engraved with silver lacquer on the bezel. Completing the look is a textured rubber strap, which comes in black, red, blue, white, orange, green, and yellow. The price? P69,999. Opt for a leather strap and pay P10,000 more.

Three digital watch faces are available—the chronograph dial, the 3-hand dial, and the GMT dial—but others are available as well, including those customized by TAG Heuer ambassadors like Cristiano Ronaldo, David Guetta, and Jeremy Lin.

After the two-year warranty of the Connected, TAG Heuer is offering its owners a chance to upgrade their watches for CHF1,500 (or roughly P71,000) to get a special edition Carrera mechanical watch that will only be available to Connected owners.
